# 25

Five people whom I'd buy a beer, get comfortable with and discuss anything they'd care to discuss without negatively reflecting on star fuckers, who'd arrive like lemmings to an open mine shaft to voice their satisfaction at being in the presence of greatness, include:

John Turturro

Stephen Malkmus

Joseph Heller

Claire Forlani

Bill Hicks

Claire Forlani, yes... but my list would include David Fincher... and .... erm... whoever the hottest, youngest actress is at that moment.
And possibly one of those long dead Irish writers. You know, the ones who drown themselves in alcohol...

Billy Corgan is at the top of my list.

My friend says I remind her of Claire Forlani. I don't see it, but I'm flattered nonetheless.

Meehan: Fincher was knocking on the door. I'm curiously put off by anyone who is the "hottest, youngest actress at that moment" as it tends to cheapen that person's saucy qualities (in my eyes). I prefer beauty that isn't thrusted down our throats by the world's leading exponents of trivialisation.

Chloe: I met and spoke with Billy Corgan in the mid-90s. He was once at the top of my list. I'm happy to be the third opinion regarding your likeness to Claire Forlani. I always thought your avatar was of Bjork. Is that really you?

I saw a guy who looked just like Saddam Hussein at a cafe the other day (he had the messy hair, wild beard, crazy dictator look and everything going) I wanted to buy him a beer but I figured it might get a bit awkward. I'm not sure the correct ettiquite for accused war criminals.

The avatar is indeed Bjork! I've posted pics of myself before, and I'll try to get another one up soon for my new Blogger friends.

It is so cool that you've met Billy!

Aminah: It's moments like those that I recommend going with gut instinct.

Saathiya: David Bowie once posed the question: 'Is there life on Mars?' I pose the question: 'Is there life without coffee?'

Chloe: Excellent. I'll be sure to take a peek.

Mega post. Some odd choices here. Who's Stephen Malkmus?

Daly: Do you mean stuff like good, cool, interesting and such and such by the term mega? If so, thanks.

Stephen Malkmus was the lead singer of a band called Pavement. Like your description of my choices, Pavement were odd; in a very, very creatively inspirational indie-rock way. I listened to bands like them ahead of the likes of Nirvana back in the day. Malkmus is now a solo artist.

Yes, mega is a positive term.
